The Volta Double Retrograde: The Future the ’80s Promised

Inspired by the futuristic speedometers of the '80s, the Xeric Volta watch packs a lot into its 36mm stainless steel case.

Platform: KICKSTARTER
Launch time: 2026.7.14
Features:
The Xeric Volta is a double retrograde wristwatch with an 80s-inspired synthwave aesthetic, built around a proprietary double retrograde Miyota gearbox quartz module housed in a 316L stainless steel case. The case measures 36mm wide by 10.25mm thick with a compact 37mm lug-to-lug span, weighing 56 grams on a 20mm silicone strap. A hardened mineral glass crystal covers the dial, and 3 ATM water resistance makes it splash-safe for daily wear. The double retrograde display— two arcs that sweep and snap back — replaces traditional hands with a kinetic readout that evokes the futuristic instrument panels of the 1980s. Limited to 999 pieces per colorway, the Volta continues Xeric’s thirteen-year design tradition of rethinking how a wristwatch displays time.
